MIA Skate Contest Photos

The park was heating up at MIA skatepark!  Probably due to the heat, fewer skaters attended this contest than usual.  But the ones that did show up brought their 'A' game.  A big thumbs up to everyone that competed in this sweat box.  I'm sure quite a few skateboarders were getting some practice runs in for the upcoming Gatorade Free Flow Tour that is taking place at MIA on August 15th.  

It looks like that contest will be one to remember!

Go Skateboarding Day 2010 - Part 2

So one of Rabid Rabbit Studio's goals for Go Skateboarding Day was to expand the world of skateboarding to those that don't skate on a daily regular basis.  

It was great getting all these people on a board!

Throughout the day, there were.....

              

                              

                                                Girls..............................and..................boys,

                                                Younger skaters..............and..............older skaters,

     

                                                  Filmers.........................and...............photographers,

            

                                                 during the night..............and.........................day.

Earlier in the day, we had gone to the Grove Skatepark snapping a few photos of some new faces.

Sugar's Drop Shop Skateboard Rodeo

Rabid Rabbit Studio attended Sugar's Drop Shop's 1st Annual Skateboard Rodeo.  Besides the brutal heat and lack of big clouds, it was a very successful event.  Today's contests included a seemingly "unofficial" highest ollie contest and best trick for beginner, intermediate, and advanced.  A lot of familiar faces were seen including Ramps N Rails' crew of skaters.  All and all, it was a fun day with some great skating!  Still working on editing more pictures, but here is a taste.  Come back for more!

        

Of course, don't forget....tomorrow....National Go Skateboarding Day!!!  Tentatively, we're heading to downtown Miami during the morning to shoot with Spencila.  Later on, Hollywood's free skatepark is holding their own best trick contest.  The contest starts around 6 or 7.  It is free to enter and the winner/s is walking away with a deck and some new wheels.  If we have the energy, you will see us there.
